Service Areas & Licensing

Licensed electrical coverage for EV and energy projects.

EVCIA supports residential, commercial, fleet, portfolio, and public-facing energy infrastructure projects through a documented network of state and municipal electrical credentials.

Coverage That Matches the Project

Local residential service and multiregion commercial capability.

Service availability is based on more than a state line. We evaluate project type, electrical scope, crew logistics, local registrations, permitting authority, utility requirements, commissioning needs, and long-term maintenance support.

Larger commercial, fleet, and portfolio projects can often be supported across a broader territory than residential service calls. Every inquiry receives a jurisdiction and availability review before a proposal is issued.

Regional Coverage

Where EVCIA evaluates new work.

These regions reflect documented credentials and project capability. Availability is confirmed for each address and scope.

Core Mid-Atlantic

New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, DC & Virginia

Residential and commercial clean-energy electrical work, including utility coordination, AHJ permitting, service upgrades, EV charging, battery storage, solar integration, V2H, and maintenance.

Pennsylvania is part of our core Mid-Atlantic territory. Because Pennsylvania does not issue a statewide electrical contractor license, requirements are generally established locally. EVCIA can work across most of the Commonwealth, subject to municipal licensing, registration, permitting, and project availability.

Common utility coordination may involve PSE&G, JCP&L, Atlantic City Electric, PECO, PPL Electric, Duquesne Light, Delmarva Power, Pepco, BGE, Dominion Energy, NOVEC, and other local providers.

New York Local Coverage

Putnam, Westchester & Orange Counties

EVCIA maintains county electrical credentials for Putnam and Westchester, serves all of Orange County, and holds a City of Middletown Class A credential. We may also evaluate work in other New York jurisdictions where a local electrical contractor license is not required.

New York exclusions: EVCIA does not serve New York City’s five boroughs or Long Island. Every eligible New York address remains subject to local permit, registration, inspection, and utility requirements.

New England

New Hampshire & Maine

Master Electrician credentials support qualified EV charging and energy infrastructure opportunities. Larger commercial and portfolio projects are evaluated based on logistics, schedule, utility territory, and local requirements.

Utility and interconnection work may involve Eversource, Unitil, Central Maine Power, Versant Power, municipal utilities, and cooperatives.

Additional Licensed Markets

Kentucky & West Virginia

Documented Master Electrician and contractor credentials support project-specific commercial, fleet, charging, and energy infrastructure opportunities.

Availability depends on project scale, crew deployment, local registrations, utility requirements, and permitting schedules.

Service Area FAQ

Coverage, licensing, and project eligibility.

These answers explain how regional coverage works. Contact us with the actual project address for a definitive availability review.

Does EVCIA serve every city in every listed state?+

Not automatically. License coverage, crew availability, project type, local registrations, permits, utility requirements, and travel scope all affect availability. We confirm jurisdiction and project eligibility during intake.

Where does EVCIA work in Pennsylvania and New York?+

Pennsylvania is part of our core Mid-Atlantic territory, with work available across most of the Commonwealth subject to local requirements. In New York, we serve Putnam, Westchester, and Orange counties, including Middletown, and may evaluate other jurisdictions that do not require a local electrical contractor license. We do not serve New York City’s five boroughs or Long Island.

Can EVCIA support multi-site and portfolio EV charging projects?+

Yes. We support commercial, fleet, retail, workplace, dealership, multifamily, and portfolio projects, including assessment, electrical design coordination, permitting, utility coordination, installation, commissioning, and maintenance.

Does an electrical license eliminate local permit requirements?+

No. State or municipal credentials do not replace project permits, inspections, utility approvals, interconnection requirements, local business registrations, or equipment-specific requirements.

Does EVCIA handle residential and commercial projects in the same areas?+

Coverage can differ. Residential work is generally concentrated closer to active crews, while larger commercial and portfolio projects may be supported across a wider licensed footprint.

Can EVCIA work outside the jurisdictions shown here?+

Potentially, depending on project size, schedule, licensing, local partnerships, and registration requirements. We review expansion and partner-supported opportunities individually and do not represent unlisted jurisdictions as currently licensed.

How can I verify an EVCIA license?+

Use the applicable issuing authority's public license lookup and the credential number shown above. You may also request current licensing documentation from EVCIA before contracting.

Have a project in or near our service territory?

Send the property address, project type, equipment goals, and expected schedule. We will review licensing, crew availability, permitting, utility coordination, and the best next step.
